Town of Jupiter History

History The Story of Jupiter and its Neighbors The "Jupiter History Web" is a volunteer project in cooperation with the Town of Jupiter Information Systems Department, which provides space for the site. The History Web Committee's goal is to build a store of historical information available for all to share, and the interest in history extends beyond the town limits to its nearby neighbors. On Our Site This site contains a history timeline with stories and articles about the area ranging from the ancient Indians, through the European discovery of the area by Ponce de Leon, to the Seminole Indian War battles fought here. The timeline also covers the building of the Jupiter lighthouse, early railroad history, and has a wealth of information on early pioneer history from the late 19th century, continuing on to the Town of Jupiter's official founding and life in the 1950's and 1960's.

The building itself tells a story of its structural changes. However, if anyone has pictures of this structure from its erection in 1915, and particularly in the time period of the 1940's to 1950's, we would love to hear from you to possibly scan the photos and learn more about the building's changes over the years. Just send us an email at the Town Archives. Jupiter U History Tour Map

The Northern Palm Beach County Chamber provides an important voice to our local businesses owners and their employees, allowing for a better understanding of the issues facing the business community.” – Ilan Uauffer, Councilor, Town of Jupiter

The NPBC Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization with approximately 1,000 business members, and the vast majority of our funding is secured through the private sector. We have evolved into a “knowledge broker,” connecting businesses with prospective clients. The Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce seeks to be an invaluable partner in increasing our business members’ bottom line. Business is still about relationship building, and understanding this basic principle is the foundation for developing programs, special events and social functions at the Chamber.
